About Kids in Motion | About Marcie Rhee

Marcie Rhee is a board-certified Pediatric Clinical Specialist. Marcie graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of Southern California. USC’s physical therapy program is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation. Since 2002, Marcie has been providing home-based therapeutic care for the Southern California community through her home-based Pediatric Physical Therapy practice. She has experience working with children with varied orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological and sensory diagnoses. Marcie also is an early intervention specialist, and has worked closely with hundreds of children with special needs and their families. Marcie has significant hospital-based physical therapy program experience, having worked at Miller Children’s Hospital in acute care and patient rehabilitation, specializing in post-traumatic injuries. She also was on the staff of Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, one of the top Rehabilitation Centers in the nation, working mostly with children with brain or spinal cord injuries. Marcie also served as Adjunct Professor of Clinical Physical Therapy at USC, co-teaching the Pediatrics elective for third-year Doctor of Physical Therapy students.

Today, Marcie and her husband, Ed, are the proud parents of Alex, 6, and Justin, 3. This perspective as a mother of two young children has guided her passion to provide meaningful and typical experiences for children with special needs and their families, as children of all abilities need to play and parents of children of all abilities need the support of other parents.
