Marian “Mars” Dennis earned her Master of Science degree in Kinesiology from California Baptist University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Mount Saint Mary’s University. She has always had a passion for working with children and supporting their families while meeting each child where they are.
Before becoming a physical therapist, Mars worked in a variety of roles supporting children and families, including caregiving roles, children’s ministry, and work as a behavioral technician supporting children with diverse needs. Additionally, she volunteered as medical staff at Camp Conrad Chinnock, a diabetes camp she once attended as a camper herself. She also values community involvement and has participated in outreach programs, including Special Olympics, cerebral palsy summer camps, GiGi’s Playhouse, and adaptive recreational events at Rancho Los Amigos.
Mars is especially excited to return to Kids in Motion, where she previously volunteered and worked as part of the billing and collections team before joining the clinic as a physical therapist. She values building strong partnerships with families and strives to create a welcoming and encouraging environment where children are supported in movement and everyday experiences that are meaningful to them.
Outside of the clinic, Mars enjoys spending time with her nephews and nieces, partner, family, and friends. She also loves cooking, being outdoors, swimming, and practicing Yoga & Pilates.
